David Hargrave grew up in south Florida, one of six children and the oldest son of the founder and pastor or the Church of God in Goulds Fl. A series of life-changing events altered the course David’s life forever, including the loss of his father at a young age. In 2003, David was awakened to the unity of the Bible and the relevance of the Hebrew Scriptures for today (Foundation of the Faith).
David married his childhood friend Krista in 1996. To this union was born one son, David, and three daughters, Melia, Daysia, and Karissa. David is bi-vocational and serves as a Congregational Leader and Clinical counselor at a local Mental & Behavioral health organization. David & Krista are passionate about seeing the “Kingdom of God” on earth, manifest the life & diversity of, “the Kingdom of God” in Heaven through the two “Great Commandments”!
Joel Miller is serving at Salem as associate Pastor during he and his family’s temporary break from their missions work in Mexico. Joel and his wife Ruthy both come from very different backgrounds and cultures, but they both have a love for God and the work that He is doing in Mexico. Joel Miller, from Ohio, first came to Mexico through the RAD (Reaching and Discipling) short-term missions training program in 2002 (also when he first met Ruthy). He was a Dayspring Missionary Training student in 2004 and that fall he decided to work full-time with Dayspring Outreach Ministries. Ruthy is from Nuevo León, Mexico, where her parents currently pastor a church and a few missions. In 2007 she was a student of the Dayspring Missionary Training program located in her hometown of La Haciendita. Ruthy and Joel were married in October 2009 and now have two boys, Caleb and Jared. Their family has been working with Ruthy’s parents in their church that they pastor and with the Dayspring Missionary Training program in Mexico.
